Ambrosia M42 consortium meeting

Ambrosia M42 consortium meeting was hosted by BIOPIX-T on 2-3 July 2026 in Heraklion, Greece. The project partners had the opportunity to present their work and discuss progress and open issues. A comprehensive plan until the end of the project was agreed, and critical decisions were made to ensure a successful outcome.

💡 AMBROSIA at the European Conference on Integrated Optics (ECIO) 2026

The AMBROSIA Project was proudly represented at the European Conference on Integrated Optics (ECIO 2026), held in Zurich, Switzerland, from 15–17 June 2026, through two scientific poster presentations by members of the Winphos Research Group.

📃 Poster Presentation I

Mrs. Lamprini Damakoudi presented the poster "High-sensitivity Bimodal Plasmo-Photonic Biosensor for C-Reactive Protein Detection", showcasing a highly sensitive plasmo-photonic biosensing platform for biomarker detection.

📃 Poster Presentation II

Mr. Panagiotis Zdoupas presented the poster "Record-High Sensitivity On-Chip Refractive Index Sensor using Twin-Plasmonic-Arm Silicon Photonic MZIs", introducing a novel silicon photonic Mach–Zehnder interferometer architecture that achieves record-high refractive index sensing performance.

Both poster presentations were supported by the AMBROSIA Project (Grant Agreement No. 101093166), demonstrating the project's commitment to advancing innovative photonic sensing technologies.

Highlights from CLEO 2026

We are pleased to highlight the participation of the AMBROSIA researchers at CLEO 2026, held in Charlotte, NC, USA.

Dr. Dimitris Bellas presented his work entitled “Slow-Light-Enhanced Plasmo-Photonic Refractive Index Sensor for Record-High Sensitivity Performance”, while Mrs. Lamprini Damakoudi presented “Group-Index Engineered Bimodal Plasmo-Photonic Interferometric Sensor for Enhanced Sensitivity”, both from WinPhoS Research Group.

We sincerely thank them for their hard work and valuable contributions.
